Kinsman Redeemer

His name, “In him is strength”
integrity invested.
She, from a foreign land
despised, unloved, detested.

Obedient and kind,
She rendered her desire.
The crucial choice was made;
He paid the price required.

The kinsman redeemer
in whom hope was provided,
protecting her interests
which must not be divided.

Avenging all rivals
which threaten opposition,
gaining authority,
sole heir to her ambition.

This gift of selfless love
significantly altered
the course of all events
with hope which never faltered.

From turbulence to rest,
from despair to hope and joy
The seed of David came
as a helpless baby boy.

“Then the women said to Naomi,
‘Blessed is the Lord
who has not left you without a redeemer today,
and may his name become famous in Israel.’”
                                                    ~ Ruth 4:14

“She will bear a Son;
and you shall call His name Jesus,
for He will save His people from their sins.”
                                                            ~ Matthew 1:21…

“He will be great
and will be called the Son of the Most High;
and the Lord God
will give Him the throne of His father David;
and He will reign
over the house of Jacob forever,
and His kingdom will have
no end.”
                                                        ~Luke 1:32,33
